Moroccan operators block VoIP over mobile - report

Thursday 7 January 2016 | 16:35 CET | News
Maroc Telecom, Meditel and Inwi have blocked VoIP call origination on their respective networks, reports Media24.com, citing an unnamed insider with one of the operators. Users can intermittently use VoIP apps over Wi-Fi, but not over 3G and 4G networks, for legal reasons. The source said the VoIP block would be extended to Wi-Fi within two months. Voicemail, SMS, and picture and video sharing are not affected.
