Moroccan telecom regulator lifts ban on VoIP apps

Moroccan telecom regulator ANRT has announced that the country's operators have been authorised to restore all VoIP application services on their fixed and mobile networks. The country had imposed a ban on over-the-top VoIP apps earlier this year, made official by a government decree in June, guided by the principle that all telephone traffic cannot be assured unless handled by telecommunication networks recognised by the state.
