Moscow Arbitrage Court starts bankruptcy proceedings for Tekhnoserv AS

Moscow Arbitrage Court has started bankruptcy proceedings for Russian integrator Tekhnoserv AS, controlled by the Tekhnoserv group, reports Cnews.ru. Five claims have been submitted by creditors of the company, totalling RUB 3.45 billion. The company Sibenergomash has submitted the largest claim at RUB 1.98 billion.

Tekhnoserv was founded in 1992 and was one of the largest Russian IT companies. Tekhnoserv was in fifth position in the ranking of major Russian IT companies in 2017, when it had revenues of RUB 50.8 billion. The company had already dropped off the list in 2018. Tekhnoserv AS generated 40.4 percent of revenues of the group in 2017.

Tekhnoserv AS acts as an integrator and also develops energy and engineering systems, as well as ICT networks for large companies.

Aleksey Ananyev and Dmitriy Ananyev, two brothers, were the owners of the Tekhnoserv group until January 2018. All the shares in the company were transferred to Aleksey Ananyev in 2018. That year, he sold a 40 percernt stake in the Tekhnoserv group to the bank VTB and later pledged a 49.99 percent stake to the bank. VTB excluded Aleksey Ananyev from the management of the company in December of 2018, claiming that he had made serious mistakes, leading to the company entering pre-bankruptcy.

The bank had taken over the 89.99 percent stake in the Tekhnoserv group by the end of 2018, with Aleksey Ananyev owning 10.01 percent. He sold the Cyprus-based company Anavoya Holdings Limited, controlling the stake, to the company Contemporary Solutions registered in the British Virgin Islands for EUR 1,000 at the end of July 2019.

Tekhnoserv Consulting, the other company controlled by the Tekhnoserv Group, also faces claims for bankruptcy.
