Moscow pay-phone network to be cut

The IT department of the Moscow city council has announced initial data on the modification of the pay-phone network in the city, reports Cnews.ru. It said around 1,040 public payphones will remain in the city, down by several hundreds from the current level. The new payphone deployment scheme is due for approval in November. Indoor payphones are due to be dismantled.
