Most German smartwatch users would buy a new one - survey

The majority (93%) of German smartwatch owners would buy a new one if an upgraded model was launched or their device was broken, according to a survey for industry group BVDW. Almost one third (30%) of smartwatch owners in Germany had been given their device as a present. The most important daily uses for smartwatch owners are text messaging, appointment planning, fitness support and telling the time. Four out of five (78%) smartwatch owners wear their device at least five days a week, with 1 in 2 (50%) saying they are 'very pleased' with their smartwatch.
