Most Germans believe AI boosts economic competitive ability internationally - survey

Two thirds (66%) of Germans believe that Artificial Intelligence (AI) will strengthen the ability of the economy overall to compete internationally, according to a survey by digital association Bitkom. Three quarters (75%) want Germany to take a global leadership role in the development and marketing of AI applications. A large majority (85%) want safe AI and demand that AI systems in Germany are regularly checked and should only be used on devices once they have been approved.
