As of December 2013, 94 percent of the most popular and critically acclaimed films were legally available in the US through online video-on-demand (VoD) services, according to a new study from KPMG. The report also finds that 85 percent of the most popular and critically acclaimed television titles were available in the US online video services. However, although KPMG did not mention it in the executive summary of the report, the findings show that only 16 percent of the films are available through on-demand subscription services (SVOD).
