Movicel introduces internet.org app in Angola

Facebook has teamed up with Angolan mobile operator Movicel to provide free internet to Angolans, with content on health, family issues, news and jobs, reports news agency Lusa. Angola thus becomes the first Portuguese-speaking country with the Internet.org service. Taking part in the initiative are also Unicef, the Ministry of Family and Promotion of Women, as well as the Sapo Angola and Platina Line portals. Via the internet.org app, users can browse selected internet sites at no cost for mobile data. Movicel has over 3.2 million customers.
