Movistar Chile extends emergency measures to 27 localities

Movistar Chile (Telefonica) has announced that it has extended its emergency measures to 27 localities affected by the spate of forest fires extending across several regions, above all Maule and Biobio. The company has suspended all billing activities in the localities and automatically topped up the accounts of residents in the localities of San Nicolas and San Fabian de Alico with CLP 20,000 in credit and 5GB of mobile data. Customers in the town of Santa Olga have already received the automatic top up.
