Movistar Chile says smartphones take 95% of sales in Q1

Movistar Chile said 95 percent of mobile phones sold in the first quarter were smartphones, of which 90 percent had 4G connectivity. It estimates that within no more than three years, the entire mobile phone base will consist of smartphones. The top-five 4G large-screen smartphones sold to postpaid users were the iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, Motorola Moto G 3rd Generation, Samsung Galaxy J7 and the Samsung Galaxy J2. The most sold 4G smartphones for pre-paid customers were the Alcatel Pixi 3, Alcatel POP 2, Samsung Galaxy J3, Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo Plus and the Samsung Galaxy Prime.
