Movistar Mexico brings 4G services to Merida

Movistar Mexico (Telefonica) has activated 4G services in the city of Merida in the southern Yucatan state. The operator said the 4G network covers the centre of the city and its main squares as well as Paseo Montejo, Puerto Progreso, the Siglo XXI convention centro, Mundo Maya museum and the international airport. To promote the launch, Movistar is offering an additional 1GB data to its Vas a Volar plans, which start at MXN 199 a month for unlimited calls and SMS, Spotify Premium and 3GB of mobile data.
