Movistar Peru first to use AI for customer service needs

Movistar Peru (Telefonica) announced that it's the first company in South America to introduce artificial intelligence-powered technology to serve customers via its telephone service channel. The smart consultant will be used to answer calls to the company's 104 customer service number, solving simple problems and transferring queries to the corresponding area if needed, said Movistar.
