Movistar removes roaming fees between Mexico and US

Movistar (Telefonica) has launched a new promotion for prepay and postpay users offering calls between Mexico and the US without additional roaming costs. Under the "Vas a volar" promotion, prepay users can make calls, send SMS or use mobile data in both countries for MXN 0.85 per minute, SMS or MB. Postpay users can subscribe to a "Vas a volar 0.5" contract with unlimited calls from the US to Mexico, 500 MB in data and Spotify Premium access for MXN 349 per month. The offers are available until 31 July.
