Movistar to bring 4G to 60% of Spanish population by Dec

Movistar has announced plans to accelerate its 4G network deployment to ensure that at least 60 percent of the Spanish population is covered by the end of 2014. The operator already has Spain's most extensive LTE network, offering 4G access in 197 localities, including 32 provincial capitals, 22 via its own network and another 10 thanks to the agreement signed with Yoigo last summer. Movistar will continue expanding its LTE coverage throughout the year to reach 443 localities by December, including all Spanish cities with over 70,000 inhabitants. In total, around 60 percent of the population
