Movistar Venezuela up to 1 mln LTE clients

Movistar Venezuela (Telefonica) has added around 300,000 customers to its 4G LTE footprint, exceeding 1 million customers for the first time, according to a report from telecommunications regulator Conatel. The operator said Movistar activated 160 LTE nodes in the cities of Barquisimeto, Maracaibo and Valencia to increase its total coverage to 1.3 million customers. Movistar already offers LTE in Caracas, La Guaira, Puerto La Cruz, Porlamar, El Tigre and Cumana, covering around a third of Venezuela's population.
