Movistar, Vodafone, Orange shed 98,000 mobile customers

Spain's three leading operators, Movistar (Telefonica), Vodafone and Orange, shed 30,300, 43,400 and 24,600 mobile customers respectively in March, according to the monthly survey published by Economiza. The result is particularly disappointing for Orange, which registered its worst monthly figures for a year, although its low-cost brand, Simyo, attracted around 12,500 new customers in March. Spain's fourth-largest operator Yoigo, also had a disappointing month, with its newly launched "all you can eat" Sinfin (Unlimited) tariff only resulting in 5,200 net gains in March.
