Mozambique earns USD 83.4 million from frequency auction

The state of Mozambique has earned USD 83.4 million from the auction spectrum rights in the 800 MHz, 1800 MHz and 2.6 GHz frequency bands. Three local operators Vodacom Mocambique (VM), Movitel and Mcel (Mocambique Celular) took part in the auction. In the end only the 800 MHz band was awarded as there were no bids for the other frequencies.
