Mozambique regulator expresses concern about irregular SIM cards

Monday 19 August 2019 | 11:41 CET | News
The Communications Regulatory Authority of Mozambique (Arecom) has expressed concern over the existence of irregular SIM cards. According to the head of the Inspection Department, Simone Menomussanga, the focus is not on the application of fines, but on the protection and safety of citizens. He stressed the need to collect all SIM cards that are available outside the official establishments of operators, agents and distributors, as well as blocking all unregistered and irregularly registered numbers.
