Mozambique says 85% of people have access to telecom

The proportion of the Mozambican population reached by telecom services grew to 85 percent this year from 65 percent in 2014, according to the Pedro Ingles, the permanent secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Communications. The official said that by the end of the first half of this year, telecom services had reached 86 percent of the country's administrative posts and 60 percent of its localities, passing the targets set in the government's five year programme for 2015-2019.
