Mozambique seeks partners to provide cheap internet

Maputo is hosting the Forum of Multi-Stakeholders of A4AI Mozambique, with the aim of establishing a multilateral partnership that will contribute to the development and implementation of targeted government policy for internet access at affordable prices for all Mozambicans. The expectation is that internet access at low cost will trigger innovations in vital areas such as agriculture, health and education, significantly improving the lives of ordinary Mozambicans. Currently, less than 5 percent of the population access the internet, mainly due to the cost - Mozambique has the fourth highest
