MPs call on UK to address digital skills crisis

The UK risks being left behind if the Government does not take more action to address the digital skills crisis, according to a new report from the Science and Technology Committee. The report shows that 12.6 million adults lack basic digital skills; 5.8 million people have never used the internet; only one third (35%) of computer teachers in schools have a relevant degree and 30 percent of the required number of computer science teachers have not been recruited.
