MPT donates MMK 100 mln to support COVID-19 relief efforts

Myanmar operator MPT has contributed additional MMK 100 million along with MMK 20.6 million received from MPT customers via the SMS Donation Platform launched from 6 April to 17 May, to support nationwide COVID-19 relief efforts. The donation was made to National Central Committee on Prevention, Control and Treatment of COVID-19 and it will be used to fund the ongoing operations including the purchase of essential medical equipment such as personal protective equipment (PPE), masks, respirators, and ventilators for Myanmar's healthcare system.
