M:tel awarded 3.5 GHz band licence

Montenegro's Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services has awarded frequency rights in the 3.5 GHz band, used for the fixed wireless access. Three companies purchased the tender documents – m:tel, Telenor and Crnogorski Telekom, but the only participant and winner on the auction was M:tel. The operator will pay EUR 77,400 to the Montenegrin state budget. M:tel will continue providing wireless broadband services before migrating to other networks/technologies.
