Global Silicon (Newmarket, UK), audio processor chipset company, will have an undisclosed stake acquired by MTI Partners (UK), venture capital group, for GBP2 mil. Global Silicon is a 'fabless' chip company, and is focusing on the consumer hi-fi and audio sectors. According to Global, the audio processor market is valued at GBP300 mil, and in-car systems have a similar value.
