MTN Cote d'Ivoire FY revenue falls 2%, subscribers up 13.6%

Thursday 2 March 2017 | 10:37 CET | News
MTN Ivory Coast total revenue decreased by 2.0 percent for the financial year ending 31 December 2016 because of lower outgoing voice revenue, hit by a drop in the effective tariff. This was partially offset by an 18.4 percent increase in data revenue, which contributed 19 percent to total revenue. This was mainly as a result of increased data usage supported by WiMax swaps to LTE, residential offerings as well as LTE time division duplex (TDD) devices.
