MTN Ghana postpones implementation of mobile money ID requirement

MTN Ghana says it will extend a deadline that requires customers on its mobile money platform to present a valid national ID for transactions, Citi Business News reported. This was due to start on 01 February but according to General Manager of Mobile Money, Eli Hini, the directive has been moved to 01 April. Hini said the extension was to allow the company to publicise the scheme to its mobile money agents and customers.
