MTN Ghana targets porters with mobile savings plan

MTN Ghana has embarked on an initiative to distribute head pans to head porters (Kayayei) and encourage daily savings on their phones through MTN Mobile Money. The initiative, dubbed 'Project Kaya 2.0', is being implemented in collaboration with Access Bank Ghana and the National Kayayei Association (NKA). So far, a total of 360 Kayayei have been registered in three markets in Accra – 120 in each of the markets Agbogbloshie, Tema Station and Madina.
