Thursday 14 November 2013 | 11:24 CET | News
MTN Nigeria has introduced a service called MTN Auto Top-Up, which will enable customers to make routine airtime top-ups on their phones, in partnership with Nigerian banks. Larry Annetts, the firm's CMO, said that MTN Auto Top-Up enables subscribers to recharge their mobile account or pay their bills from available deposits in their bank accounts with ease and convenience. It uses Nigeria Inter-bank Settlement System (NIBSS) interoperability capabilities to ensure smooth and seamless payment from subscribers' accounts in any Nigerian bank, with no payment card required.
