MTN Rwanda collects over 2,500 smartphones for underprivileged people

MTN Rwanda has confirmed it has collected 2,500 smartphones so far under its scheme to provide handsets to people who cannot afford them, The New Times reported. The campaign is run in partnership with the ministry of ICT and innovation (MINICT). So far, over 39,000 smartphones have been pledged under the Connect Rwanda Challenge and by 12 January,  2,500 of them had been collected.
