MTN South Africa cuts prepaid out-of-bundle data rates, runs double bundle promotion for 2 months

MTN South Africa said that it has reduced its out of bundle (OOB) data price by up to 75 percent for prepaid customers and that it will be doubling selected prepaid voice and data bundles for the next two months. Prepaid customers currently not making use of data bundles will pay ZAR 0.29 per megabyte for their internet usage, and customers who do purchase data bundles will pay ZAR 0.90 per megabyte for their OOB data usage.
