MTN South Africa invests over ZAR 500 mln in upgrading KZN network after July unrest

MTN South Africa announced a number of community interventions to assist in rebuilding KwaZulu-Natal following civil unrest and looting in KZN and parts of Gauteng in July. It will provide ZAR 10 million to support qualifying spaza informal convenience shops in KZN and Gauteng and investment of over ZAR 500 million towards network upgrades and expansion in the province. Each spaza will receive trading stock, airtime to resell and MoMo tools, among other things.
