MTN and the South African Post Office may go to court over a ZAR 900 million contract that was awarded to Telkom, City Press reported. The report said the Post Office contract to upgrade the state-owned company's network facilities was put out to tender in 2016 and was to be given to MTN. Telkom reportedly lost out due to high pricing, but the Post Office cancelled the tender in February 2017.
