MTN Sudan FY user base falls 11.5%, revenue up 18.8%

MTN Sudan's subscriber base contracted by 11.5 percent to 7.5 million in the year to 31 December 2016 as a result of disconnections in compliance with registration requirements. Total revenue increased by 18.8 percent, mainly as a result of strong outgoing voice income, supported by a tariff increase in June.
