MTN Swaziland lowers mobile money tariffs

MTN Swaziland has reduced tariffs by up to 80 percent for its mobile money transfer service. According to the Times newspaper, Mobile Money users will now pay a minimum SZL 3 when sending money to a MM user for a transaction between SZL 20 and SZL 125, from previous highs of SZL 10 per transaction. Some transactions came at a cost of SZL 100 but will now cost SZL 20. Head of Mobile Money Sam Shogwe said the reduction in tariffs is a response to the public outcry that the tariffs were steep.
