MTS aggregates 4.8-5.0 GHz spectrum with LTE bands on new Ericsson antenna

Russian operator MTS, in cooperation with MediaTek and Ericsson, has tested spectrum in the n79 band (4.8-5.0 GHz) on its pilot 5G network. 5G services were tested using an 180 MHz block in combination with 10 MHz in the 1800 MHz band and 15 MHz in the 2100 MHz band. The test delivered speeds up to 2.9 Gbps.
