MTS completes buyback programme

Russian operator MTS has announced that the company has completed the share buy-back programme announced in the spring. Under the programme, the company completed the acquisition, through unit Bastion of 50,900 MTS shares (including shares represented by ADSs) forming 0.003 percent of the share capital issued by MTS; and the purchase of almost 3.223 million shares for RUB 1,023 million by Bastion from Sistema Finance, a Luxembourg-based subsidiary of the MTS's majority shareholder Sistema. The shares represent 0.1613 percent of share capital issued by MTS.
