MTS sees results under pressure from Yota deal

Russian mobile operator MTS warned investors that its agreement with the Wimax operator Scartel, working under the Yota brand, could have a negative impact on revenues and margins. MTS plans to cooperate with Scartel on providing LTE services, reports Vedomosti. The agreement hasn't been signed yet. Russian operators Rostelecom, MTS, Megafon and Vimpelcom signed a memorandum of understanding with Yota earlier this year. Under the proposal, the Wimax operator would roll out an open-access LTE network, on which the mobile operators would provide services.
