MultiChoice Africa plans to appeal against Nigerian tax tribunal ruling

Friday 29 October 2021 | 09:54 CET | News
MultiChoice Africa Holdings (MAH), the parent company of MultiChoice Nigeria, has rejected a ruling by the Nigerian Tax Appeal Tribunal (TAT) on 26 October to dismiss its appeal against the USD 342 million VAT bill imposed by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS). The company stated that it will lodge an appeal against the ruling at the Federal High Court, adding that the TAT ruling was based on technicality rather than the merits of the case.
