MultiChoice Group subscriber base up 15% to 15.1 mln in maiden FY results

MultiChoice Group (MCG) reported a 12 percent increase in its subscriber base to 15.1 million, in its maiden full year results to end March, following its successful listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) on 27 February. Revenue increased 6 percent to ZAR 50.1 billion and trading profit 11 percent (or 27% organically) to ZAR 7.0 billion. This was underpinned by solid subscriber growth, as well as an ongoing focus on cost containment.
