MultiChoice renews call for Netflix to be regulated amid subscriber loss

MultiChoice South Africa has called for regulation Netflix as it fights to remain relevant amid tough competition from online streaming services, BusinessDay reported. The pay-TV operator lost more than 100,000 premium subscribers in the previous financial year and has another 40,000 subscribers to date. MultiChoice SA CEO Calvo Mawela blamed unregulated competition from Netflix.
