Multichoice, Safaricom, CBA sign Gotv decoder finance deal

Safaricom, MultiChoice and Commercial Bank of Africa (CBA) have signed a financing agreement to enable customers to acquire a Gotv decoder on credit. The service is available to all Safaricom subscribers who have an M-Shwari account. They can deposit KES 1,000 in their M-shwari accounts to acquire a set-top box, which retails at KES 3,499. Customers will then pay the remaining KES 2,499 in three monthly instalments. Safaricom general manager of financial services Betty Mwangi said the product would suit customers' lifestyles.
