MultiChoice says it will not hike DStv Premium prices this yr

Wednesday 13 February 2019 | 16:19 CET | News
MultiChoice will not hike the price of DStv Premium this year, reports TechCentral. The company traditionally hikes its prices on 1 April each year but has elected this year to keep DStv Premium subscriptions unchanged at ZAR 809 per month, excluding value-added services. Other DStv packages will get a below-inflation increase this year, MultiChoice said, though it hasn't provided details about those changes. MultiChoice is facing growing pressure at the premium end of the market, with consumers opting for online streaming services from international rivals such as Netflix.
