MultiChoice to work with Nigeria tax body to prove compliance

MultiChoice Nigeria said that it will work with the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) to prove that it is tax-compliant. FIRS had engaged commercial banks as agents to freeze and recover NGN 1.8 trillion from the accounts of MultiChoice Nigeria and MultiChoice Africa. Abdullahi Ahmad, director of the communications and liaison department of FIRS, said the decision followed the groups' continued refusal to grant FIRS access to their servers for audit.
