Munich Institute for Ethics in AI receives EUR 6.5 million funding from Facebook

The Institute for Ethics in Artificial Intelligence of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) has received an initial funding of EUR 6.5 million in form of grants from Facebook to explore the ethical implications of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg announced the grant at the conference "Digital Life Design" in Munich. The research centre will be part of the Munich Centre for Technology in Society.
