Munich plans connected city research centre

A new centre for innovation and start-ups for a 'smart city' is planned in Munich by the administrations of the state capital and the state of Bavaria, in cooperation with the BMW heiress Susanne Klatten, Heise.de reports. The researchers will look into new problems caused by the increasing urbanisation, including traffic control, infrastructure and energy supply.
