Murdoch meets Italian PM, pledges EUR 40 mln investment

21st Century Fox co-COO James Murdoch, who is also Sky Italia president, promised to invest EUR 40 million in local production during a meeting with Italy's prime minister, Matteo Renzi. Murdoch said that Sky Italia would be looking to build on the success of its series Gomorra by creating two new high-profile Italian TV series, Diabolik and The Young Pope. The first is a 10-episode drama based on a popular Italian comic book about a master thief who takes on different identities to steal from other criminals. The Young Pope, meanwhile, is a fictional tale about the first-ever Italian
