MWeb warns of slow internet caused by Seacom cable repair

Thursday 30 April 2015 | 10:07 CET | News
Maintenance to Seacom fibre cables in Egypt could cause slow internet browsing and downloads in South Africa, News24 reported. ISPs such as MWEB use the Seacom cable to help provide data capacity to their customers. Maintenance could cause slower-than-average internet speeds in South Africa, MWEB warned. The ISP said Seacom was carrying out maintenance that should continue until 22:00 hrs on 29 April.
