Namibian government targets 95 percent broadband coverage by 2024

Namibia says it aims to achieve 95 percent broadband coverage by 2024, Newera reported. Deputy Minister of ICT Engel Nawatiseb has tabled the Broadband Policy and its Implementation Action Plan in the National Assembly and said the government is aiming for 100 percent broadband connectivity and usage in all primary and secondary schools by 2024, too. He said the government intends to have 90 percent broadband connection and usage to 70 percent of medical facilities in the country by 2024.
