Nar Mobile to provide inflight communications

Azerbaijani mobile operator Nar Mobile will offer in-flight mobile communications services on the Azerbaijan Airlines (Azal ) fleet. Nar Mobile's parent Azerfon has partnered with wireless infrastructure provider ip.access to deploy picocells in Baku's Heydar Aliyev International Airport and also on Azal aircraft operating from the capital's airport. Passengers will be able to make and receive calls, send SMS messages, and access the internet. As announced earlier this year, inflight connectivity provider OnAir is providing Azerfon with the technical solution for this project.
