Naspers FY revenues rises 38% to USD 20.1 bln

South African media group Naspers said its revenues increased 38 percent year on year to USD 20.1 billion for the year to end March. Core headline earnings grew 72 percent to USD 2.5 billion. Businesses outside South Africa contributed 84 percent of revenues, compared to 80 percent a year ago. Revenue in the internet segment, which now accounts for 79 percent of group revenues (73% last year), was up 50 percent (51%) to USD 15.9 billion. Profit also increased 50 percent (56%), fuelled by ecommerce and Tencent's strong results.
